Certain types of video games, by their very nature, contain content that violates Noice’s Community guidelines, and we do not allow them to be streamed on Noice.
Certain types of video games can be streamed but only behind an appropriate content warning and age gate.
Streaming inherently violative games
We do not allow the streaming of any games that inherently are based around behavior that violates our Community Guidelines. This means that games built with the explicit intent to feature behavior that would violate our guidelines cannot be streamed on Noice.
Examples of games that would violate this policy would include games that as a whole are built around behavior that would violate
- our Hateful Behavior policy, such as promoting hatred, violence, discrimination or humiliation of a person or group based on protected characteristics,
- our Extremism policy, such as promoting or driving support for violent entities or actors and their acts or their ideology
- our Violence policy, such as promoting or glorifying rape, sexual abuse and sexual violence
- our Child Safety policy, such as normalizing or promoting child sexual exploitation or child sexual abuse in violation of
- our Harassment & Targeted Abuse policy, such as abusing or harassing an identifiable individual
- our Sexual Behavior policy, such as games inherently focused on sexual activity or sexual nudity
The restrictions also apply to any user-created games within free creation environments (such as Minecraft or Roblox), as well as to video games that have been modified by someone other than their original creator to carry out any of the behaviors above.
- First violation: immediate termination of any livestream in progress and a warning notice
- Second violation: temporary suspension of streaming privileges
- Third violation: temporary suspension from all Noice platforms
- Fourth violation: indefinite suspension from all Noice platforms.
For egregious cases we will immediately and indefinitely suspend accounts for first-time violations of this policy.
Streaming restricted games without proper content labeling and age gating
We allow streaming of games with ESRB AO ratings, provided that the stream is properly indicating which game is being streamed, with an age-appropriateness indication, and enabling any age restriction features available to channel owners.
We are currently developing our age-gating and age verification systems. Until those systems are launched, we do not allow streaming of titles that have ESRB AO ratings. We allow streaming of titles that have a ESRB M + PEGI 18 rating without an age gate provided other aspects of your stream do not require an age gate.
The following behaviors are against our policies:
- Failing to properly self-age-restrict a channel showing a game with ESRB AO rating
- Failing to provide a channel description that describes the nature of the game being played and its rating in a way that is clearly visible to users prior to joining
- Intentionally mislabeling a channel that is streaming an ESRB AO title to appear innocuous or suitable for minors
We encourage creators to indicate when they will be presenting titles rated ESRB M and to consider if they need to implement an age gate for their channels, particularly if those titles have a PEGI 18 rating.
- First violation:
- a warning message
- immediate application by Noice of 18+ restriction on channel
- viewers of the stream who are younger than 18 will be kicked off the stream
- Second violation: temporary suspension of streaming privileges
- Third violation: temporary suspension from all Noice platforms
- Fourth violation: indefinite suspension from all Noice platforms.
For egregious cases we will immediately and indefinitely suspend accounts for first-time violations of this policy
